"Vantage Angles"
the evolution of a data center is an ongoing photographic project and new book documenting the construction
of a new data center campus in Silicon Valley, California during 2011. Originating as a
commercial photography
assignment the project eventually transformed itself into an art photography book.
Projects:
Throughout 2011 Alan was commissioned to photographically document the construction and evolution of a new innovative
17-acre cloud computing data storage campus. Biweekly Alan photographed the construction of the three new ultra efficient
100% leed certified data center structures, which originally was a 1970's style architecture Intel computer company property.
In 2010, Vantage Data Centers
started the renovation process to recreate a new cloud computing data server storage
facility and campus. Utilizing ground breaking energy efficient technology, minimal clean architectural design, an off the
grid back up power plant, enormous power generators and a massive water cooling system structure. The delineative architectural
design and practical function inspired Alan to graphically record the evolution and infrastructure photographically
capturing the spirit of this architectural milestone campus.
